The honest bit

“Can’t I already see submissions in Webflow?”

Yes. Webflow keeps submissions in Site settings › Forms (a table per form, exportable to CSV) and can email a notification for every one. For a solo site owner, that’s often enough.

The trouble starts when more than one person deals with enquiries. Notification emails get forwarded, two people reply to the same wholesale lead, nobody replies to the press request, and there’s no way to see what’s still outstanding without a Zapier-to-CRM contraption.

Statuses & owners

Everyone knows who’s on what.

Every enquiry moves through New → In progress → Waiting → Done, with Spam off to the side. Assign it to a teammate and it’s theirs. No more “did anyone reply to this?” in the group chat.

Team notifications flag new enquiries, and the inbox always shows what still needs attention.

  1. 01 New Just landed. Nobody’s touched it.
  2. 02 In progress Someone owns it and is on it.
  3. 03 Waiting Ball’s in their court.
  4. 04 Done Handled. Off the list.
  5. –– Spam “Boost your SEO today!!!” Bye.

Context

“Where is my order?” Answered in one glance.

For Webflow stores, Forms Inbox shows relevant order and customer context right next to the enquiry: the order, its status and tracking, and how much they’ve spent with you. You also see every earlier submission from the same contact.

So “where’s my parcel?” takes ten seconds, not three tabs.

Find anything

Tags, filters and search that make sense.

Tag enquiries however your team thinks: Wholesale, Returns, Press, Sales lead. Then search and filter by form, status, assignee, date and submitter email.

Add internal notes so the next person knows what’s already been said, without forwarding anything.

What it isn’t

Forms Inbox isn’t a helpdesk and doesn’t replace Zendesk or Intercom. There are no shared email threads, automatic replies, SLA timers, CRM sync or automation rules. It’s the missing team layer between your Webflow forms and your email, and for most small teams that’s exactly the bit that was missing.

Questions, answered

Can’t I already see form submissions in Webflow?

Yes, and it’s worth saying clearly. Webflow stores submissions in Site settings › Forms, with a table per form you can export to CSV, and it can email a notification for each submission. What it doesn’t give you is a shared workflow: who’s handling this, what’s still outstanding, internal notes, tags, or the customer’s order history next to their message. That’s what Forms Inbox adds.

How do I reply to an enquiry?

Use Reply by email. Replies go out from your own email, not from inside Flowcommander. Forms Inbox is where your team triages, assigns and tracks enquiries; your inbox is still where the conversation happens.

Which forms show up?

Submissions from every Webflow form on a connected site land in one inbox, and you can filter by form. Forms that post to a custom action URL bypass Webflow’s form processing, per Webflow’s docs. [Confirm whether those can appear in Forms Inbox – TBC]

Do I need Webflow Ecommerce to use it?

No. Forms Inbox works with the forms on any connected Webflow site. If you do run a Webflow store, relevant order and customer context appears alongside the enquiry.

Is this a helpdesk like Zendesk or Intercom?

No, and it’s not trying to be. There are no shared email threads, automatic replies or SLA timers. It’s a lightweight shared inbox for Webflow form enquiries, so nothing gets lost and everyone knows who’s on what.

How does the team get notified?

Team notifications tell people when there’s something new, and the inbox shows what still needs attention. [Notification channels – TBC]

Why have my Webflow form submissions stopped?

Common causes from Webflow’s docs: the free Starter Site plan caps sites at 50 lifetime form submissions; a custom form action bypasses Webflow; or notification emails are going to a role-based address like info@, which can hurt deliverability. Check those before anything else.
